Hello, friend! Thank you for taking a moment to share this information so we can learn a bit more about you and to offer some useful guidance as you prepare for our ceremony. It is important for us to know the constellation of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual landscape so we can best support your journey. All information will be held in confidentiality.
Preparation.
From the moment you commit to this experience you will be tuning your body and your mind to best receive the lessons of this teacher spirit. It is important to consider diet as not only what we eat and drink, but all things we expose ourselves to. This includes what we listen to, watch, read, think, as well as people and places we surround ourselves with. We want to bring ourselves into a place of receptivity, inner calm, and sensitivity.
Our ceremony will be an opportunity for deep introspection. It can be helpful to start to practice avenues of self connection a week prior to ceremony. We recommend making time for contemplation, meditation, being in nature, body connection practices (yoga, breathing, light exercise, dance), creating art, reading poetry, and discovering ways of finding presence throughout your day. It is best to avoid overstimulation via movies, social media, news, and stressful situations.
While a strict diet is not absolutely necessary, it is best to start being mindful of eating foods that are whole, unprocessed, and prepared with love. For the week prior to ceremony, avoid or limit your intake of alcohol, refined sugar, and caffeine.
On the day of ceremony enjoy your last meal 6 hours before our meeting time.
What to Bring.
Ceremony is a collective experience in many ways, and the altar we build together is a material expression of our connection to Spirit, the Earth, and each other. You are welcome and encouraged to bring any sacred objects or offerings that you would like to place on the altar. These objects become infused with the energy we cultivate together; and bringing these objects home can invite continuity as you step back into your "normal" life. Fruits and flowers are offerings that are always welcome.
We will be sitting for several hours so you are encouraged to bring pillows, blankets, and anything you need to make yourself a cozy little nest :) Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes are a wonderful idea.
Integration.
Integration starts with intention. On the days leading to ceremony we invite you to start to create a short, and simple intention that can operate like a touch stone during ceremony. It can help you remember the reason why you came and support your willingness to lean into the mystery. It can be as simple as exploring willingness and receptivity to the experience or practicing self love.
A few days after ceremony, we will be providing a 40 minute online group call to allow for community reconnection and start to weave meaning into our experiences. It can be tempting to want to write down all our learnings and start to make meaning the night of ceremony. We invite you to trust that the meaning of these experiences may unfold over time.
We like to think of this experience as a kind of initiation or stepping out of daily community and society happenings to directly source wisdom within. It can be supportive to have one person that you trust to share your plans with. Having this person check in a day or two after can feel like an acknowledgment and reintegration into community. Remember, you do not need to share the details of your experience during the check in. It can be helpful to hold these with gentleness until further meaning and solidification of experience has been developed.
